The demand for composite sheets to maximize the characteristics of different materials is growing mainly in the optical-related field. Shine Techno has superior precision molding technology for the co-extrusion process of acrylic and polycarbonate sheets, which are particularly difficult to multilayer, so that we can produce thinner or thicker sheets or films in accordance with the specifications of our customers.

Shine Techno Co., Ltd., was established in 2006 as a new business of the Wavelock Group.Since its establishment, we have specialized in the mass production of the world’s top level PC/PMMA double layer sheets and films, and we strive to advance the development of machining knowledge and higher quality processes. Currently, we expand the production and sales of high quality extruded sheets and films, including single-tier or dual-layer sheets and films using polycarbonate. These Shine Tech brand products are sold in Japan and abroad. In addition, in response to increasing product quality demands from customers, we are cooperating with material manufacturers and processors to improve together the development of new high-quality sheets and film.

Our History

Shine Techno Co., Ltd., is a manufacturing and sales subsidiary 100% owned bythe Wavelock Group.
We have inherited and advanced sheeting technologies developed by the Group and
achieved stable production of high quality multi-layered sheets and films with little distortion.
We will meet the demand for lightweight, multifunctional, and
high performance products for the optical-related industry and their customers.

Wavelock Group Chronology

1964

The patented Wavelock technology for yarn-reinforced plastic sheets was introduced by Bruno Romanin from TCM in Italy. Japan Wavelock Co., Ltd., was established with capital of 60 million yen equally funded by three companies, Nissho Co., Ltd.; Nippon Carbide Industries Co., Inc.; and Maruto Chemical Co., Ltd. (current Tatsuta Chemical Co., Ltd.)

1965

Started manufacturing and sales of Wavelock products.

1979

Entered the wallpaper business. Started the manufacture and sales of vinyl chloride wallpaper

1983

Entered the polypropylene sheet industry. Started the manufacture and sales of sheets for molding.

1991

Established the Ichinoseki Factory at Higashidai, Ichinoseki City in Iwate Prefecture, and installed special coating facilities.

2003

Acquired 50.1% of the outstanding shares of Dio Chemicals, Ltd., (Tokyo Stock Exchange Second Section: 3533) through a tender offer and merged as a consolidated subsidiary.

2005

Japan Wavelock Co., Ltd., took over the sales division due to a corporate split and changed the company name to Wavelock Holdings Co., Ltd.

2006

In order to strengthen the foundation of the interior business, acquired 60% of the outstanding shares of Yamato Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., (current Wavelock Interior Co., Ltd.) and merged as a consolidated subsidiary.

2010

Established Wavelock Advanced Technology Co., Ltd. Shine Techno Co., Ltd., was wholly owned by Wavelock Advanced Technology Co., Ltd., as a subsidiary.

2012

In South Korea, established Wavelock Korea Co., Ltd., which sells various electronic materials and plastic products, as a subsidiary of Wavelock Advanced Technology Co., Ltd. In China, a joint venture, Oolian Jioou Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., was established by Dio Chemicals, Ltd., as a woven goods manufacturing subsidiary. In Hong Kong, established Wavelock International Asia Co., Ltd., as a wholly owned subsidiary of Wavelock Interior Co., Ltd., in order to strengthen trading in Asia.

2013

Separated Japan Wavelock Co., Ltd., due to a corporate split. Sales and manufacturing divisions were separated. Manufacturing company took over the title of Japan Wavelock Co., Ltd. The sales company and the Industrial Materials Division of Dio Chemicals, Ltd., were merged to become Innovex Co., Ltd., which was established in February 2013.

2015

                        Agreed on capital alliances with Sangetsu Corporation in order to improve the efficiency of the value chain of the interiors industry, further improving product quality, and to develop new products. Sangetsu Corporation owned 22.2% of shares of Wavelock Holdings Co., Ltd., an equity method affiliated company.

                      2017                    

                       Listed in the 2nd section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in April, 2017.

                      2018                    

                       The stock was designated to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in April, 2018.

2006

Shine Techno Co., Ltd., was established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Wavelock Holdings Co., Ltd., for the production and sales of functional resins.Established the Ichinoseki Factory at Higashidai, Ichinoseki City in Iwate Prefecture. Installed the production line for special multi-layered sheets.

2010

Established Wavelock Advanced Technology Co., Ltd. Shine Techno Co., Ltd., was wholly owned by Wavelock Advanced Technology Co., Ltd., as a subsidiary.

2011

The Sales Division of Shine Techno Co., Ltd., merged into Wavelock Advanced Technology Co., Ltd., to sell electronic materials, decorative films, and sheets in a cooperative effort. Shine Techno Co., Ltd., became a wholly owned manufacturing subsidiary.

2012

Concluded capital alliances with Entire Technology Co., Ltd. Agreed on mutual cooperation in production, sales and development, and capital alliances.

2016

Separated the Sales and Technical Divisions of Shine Techno from Wavelock Advanced Technology Co., Ltd., and merged them with Shine Techno Co., Ltd. Integrated the production, processing and sales functions of high-performance optical and decorative films and sheets.
